Production and packaging machines often call for re-aligning formats, machine stops or guiding facilities by shaft positioning. The only convincing argument for the degree of automation is the price/performance ratio. For example, fully networked drives will only refund with frequent positioning operations. In many cases partial automation is most economical, for example by aid of a mobile drive that looks like a cordless electric screwdriver and enables re-alignment to the required format within an instant.
